One of the pivotal symbol of any wedding day is the dress- duhhhh! Who
am I to change history therefore, naturally my first post would have to
do with "thee" ultimate garment you will ever don on your body. I've
been engaged for two weeks now and although we haven't really dived into
the wedding plans as of yet, I have become a wedding dress fiend. I have nothing against white dresses, in fact, I plan on wearing one
during the reception but the main event dress would be in the soft
feminine shade of.....drum roll please.....
.... BLUSH
Relax, although I think Lisa's dress was gorgeous in the movie "Coming to America," I don't necessarily want to walk down the aisle resembling a bottle of pepto bismo. However, I do think the wardrobe stylist in the movie had the right idea-when you go against conventional go big or go home!GASP- was the response I received once I told my mom my plan. For as long as I could remember, I wanted to wear Blush, a soft rose shade of pink wedding dress. As groundbreaking as I thought I was, blush/pink dresses seems to be on-trend. Tons of high end designers (Lazaro, Amsale, etc) are boasting this shade including the amazing Vera Wang who is head on with a selection of romantic wedding dresses to die for.

Sensing a theme here? I think my dress "fit" would likely be "fit-and-flare" or "mermaid." In true CurvEnvy fashion, I want my curves to be showcases yet I still want that whimsical romantic vibe. Fitted on top but playful and princess like on the bottom. The ruching effect on the bodice helps to camouflage the belly yet still accentuating the figure. The corset lace up back helps to cinch in or loosen the bodice area.
What do you guys think?
I can't wait to hit the bridal parlors and try on my "ideal" dress. To be continued!

Congratulations! You are a fabulous person and sometimes not being conventional is the best. No matter what you choose to rock will look great on you.
Thanks so much!! People Ive told tend to be weary but as long as I love it, thats all that matters I guess.
Sandy...I think blush will be perfect for and on you. The color against your skin tone will look amazing!!! xoxo
